In the field of law, strict scrutiny is the highest standard of review that a court will use to evaluate the constitutionality of governmental discrimination. To pass strict scrutiny, the legislature must have passed the law to further a compelling governmental interest, and it must have narrowly tailored the law to achieve that interest.
In this piece, I used the concept of strict scrutiny, following a similar definition but with more irrational results, in expressing an evaluation of a person, the depth of that person’s being, and what compels that person to think and feel in various ways, among other things.
