The masks are off. Something deeper than just laughing together, there can be a crudeness, gruesomeness, sloppiness, or creepiness in the act, as it does not always reveal pure joy but sometimes contradictions in our presence, inner beings, and psychologies. Especially true when viewed in the light of what is happening in the world today.
